In addition to being a working artist herself, Chelsea Lake Roberts is a professional copywriter and marketing consultant. Through her work for Michigan’s leading advertising agencies and media organizations, Chelsea has helped craft and drive major stories in our state. Her approach can be best understood by her most treasured workplace award, which was given for “Making Ideas Real.” She now consults privately and leads professional development workshops for artists.

Chelsea has published peer-reviewed research, arts features, and long-form essay since 2020. Originally attending graduate school for theatre history before switching to a career in marketing, Chelsea is a story-driven, audience obsessed professional who isn’t afraid to bend or entirely break convention. Her bold spirit has earned her merit awards, scholarships, and grants.
